Ohio-Man today
He leads the five Spendens at 67 Lake, but he learned to lead before anyone called him a hero. The name came from a rescue that almost failed because he thought strength meant doing everything himself.
Now he is the first to step toward danger—and the one who knows when to call the others in.

01🔧 BeforeThe boy who fixed the ferryOpen chapter
Oren repaired the little ferry that carried workers across a river in Brainrot Country. Every morning he checked the engine, wiped yesterday's mud from the seats, and waved to people who barely knew his name. He liked engines because broken parts had names and solutions. People were harder. When someone asked for help, he reached for a wrench before asking what they needed.
He dreamed of doing something big enough to make his town remember him. His mother would point to the passengers boarding safely and tell him they already did. Oren never believed her. In his mind, a real hero did something spectacular, all on his own.
02🌧️ The turning pointA bridge gives wayOpen chapter
During a storm, the bridge beside the ferry landing cracked with a bus still on it. Oren rushed onto the bridge and braced a falling beam with his shoulder. He could manage its weight, but the passengers were still trapped. The driver could not open the front door, and the river was rising below them. Oren tried pushing harder. Nothing changed.
Then a child inside shouted that the rear door was clear. Oren stopped straining long enough to listen. He called to the ferry crew on shore and had them throw ropes to the back of the bus. One person steadied the door, another guided the passengers, and Oren held the beam while they crossed. The last passenger reached land just before the bridge fell. Oren had helped save them, but he had not done it alone.
03⭐ The first choiceA name he had to grow intoOpen chapter
By morning, people were cheering for the young man in the battered repair jacket. Someone had read the old “Ohio” nickname painted across its back and called him “Ohio-Man.” Oren pointed instead to the child who had spotted the exit and to the crew who had held the ropes. He knew how close his stubbornness had come to costing them time.
He kept the name, but gave it a new meaning. He would be the person who brought help together, not the person who claimed all the credit. Years later, that choice became the Spendens. When Shadow took Raksha, the lesson returned at the worst possible moment: Ohio-Man picked up his phone and asked other heroes for help.
